Reflections

The theme for this year's Reflections Contest is "What is Your Story"

Entries will be due the beginning of November and entry forms will be available in the office.
The categories are Dance, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Art, Photography, and Visual Arts.

Book Fair

Our Book Fair will be held October 3rd-7th in the library. If you would like to volunteer to help please contact a member of the PTA to sign up.

Reflections Contest

This year's theme for Reflections is "Let Your Imagination Fly". All reflections projects are due to the office by November 13th. You can pick up the packet in the office for instructions, rules and consent form.

PTA Goals for 2015-2016

Last year the PTA was able to donate $8500 to our school for Chromebooks. This year we would like to meet a goal of raising $10,000 for Chromebooks and iPads to donate to the school.

Teacher Appreciation Week May 4th-8th

Teacher Appreciation Week will be May 4th-8th! Watch for a letter coming home with your student about ways to show how much we love our teachers at North Elementary. We will be holding a "Make it Count Competition" this year. A coupon page will be coming home with your student for them to write what they love about their teacher. They may write as many as they want as long as they don't write the same thing twice. At the end of the week the teachers with the most coupons will eligible for prizes and they will get the coupons to treasure. A list of our awesome support staff is posted here if you want to thank them for all they do at North Elementary also. It truly takes a village!

Kite Flight

Kite for Sight will be held on Saturday, April 25th at Park Discovery. The event will run from 10:00am until 3:00pm but you can go anytime during that time and turn in your calendars. Children are welcome to stay and play but please make sure you stop by and turn in your calendar! Every student who turns in a calendar generates money for our school and gets to pick a prize. Last year we had the highest percentage of any school in the district and that means we got the most MONEY!

Bike Rodeo

Please come to the North Elementary Bike Rodeo on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at 10:00 on the playground. There will be family bike races, and prizes given. You can bring bikes, scooters, roller blades and skateboards.

Our theme for this year is "The World Would be a Better Place if..."

Walk A Thon

Our Walk A Thon will be held on September 25th. Pledge papers should be coming home with your students this week. This will be one our our major fundraisers so get your pledges in!

Fundraising Goals

This year we have set a larger than normal fundraising goal! We would like to purchase iPads and Chromebooks for our school.

Our main fundraiser will be our Walk-A-Thon which will be on September 9th. Watch for more information to come home with your student as the date gets closer. Other fundraisers come from programs such as Box Tops, Lions Kite Flight for reading, McDonalds Night and Penny Wars.

Please support your students and our school with these great opportunities!

T-Shirt Orders

There are two shirt designs to chose from this year! They are $7 and will be on a pre-order basis only. Orders will begin August 29th and will be delivered by September 16th to your student.

There will be another taking place later in the year if you want to order then too.

Yearbooks

Yearbooks are still available for purchase. They will be handed out the last day of school and will be sold on a first come first serve basis. Get your now!

Field Day

Field day will be held May 21st. We are still looking for volunteers to help. If you are able please contact the PTA. Watch for more information to come home with your students.

Arts Night

Arts Night will be May 12th at 6:00 in the gym. The PTA will be offering pizza and the teachers will be having a bake sale for an arts fundraiser. If you are able to help please let the PTA know. Come and see all of the awesome artwork that will be hung in the halls!

Bike Rodeo

Bike Rodeo will be held on Saturday, May 10th from 10:00 to 12:00. We will have an obstacle course for kids and adults, bike safety, snacks and a drawing for a BIKE!! This event will be sponsored by Premier Pediatrics.
